Bill has been in the financial services field for over thirty years. Starting in Banking, then Mortgage Banking, he worked for builders and their mortgage companies for over ten years. Bills spend 10 years in the construction industry, working for Ryan Homes, Inc. and Engle Homes, Inc. He spent time as a director of community development, in production and the financial arms of these firms. He gained a great feel for the challenges faced in the construction industry. He consulted and placed worker’s compensation risk management programs as an agent for Allstate Insurance Company. This important coverage can be the second highest administrative variable cost for a construction firm. Bill rose to the position of Regional Vice President of a New York-based bank. Bill changed careers to the investment and insurance field in 1990. He has been a Regional Director of Training and Managing Director for a major New England based insurance company. His focus on training in the financial industry led Bill to join the CEA. His continued focus on education and personal improvement has helped him achieve the respected designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP), which less than 5% of all planners have. Bill's skill levels and love for educating has put him in a position where he teaches young planners in preparation for the CFP exam at various universities in South Florida. He specializes in educating small business owners in the areas of risk management, investment and business management planning, employee benefits, business continuation planning and much more. Community Involvement Bill has been very involved in the South Florida community, reflecting his goals to give back to the people who are unable to help themselves. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society, West Palm Division. He helped fund raise for the Home-Safe charity in West Palm Beach and is a regular phone bank operator for the Labor Day Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. He has served on the boards of his homeowners associations throughout out his tenure in Florida. Bill enjoys exercising, movies and reading. He and his wife recently became the proud parents of two baby girls, which they adopted from Russia.
